Despina Condoleon was the beloved sister of Virginia Theakos; loving aunt to Patrick and Aspasia Theros, Mitchell Ticoras, Michael Condoleon, Peggy Kontos and Effie Kontoleon; Loving great aunt to Nickolas Theros, Helene Theros, and Marika Theros and her husband, Ahmad Nimehof, of Washington, DC, and to numerous great nieces and great nephews in Ohio, Wisconsin and Greece.  She passed away on May 14, 2009.

Despina Condoleon was the daughter of the Very Reverend Archimandrite Mihail Kontoleon of Fyta, who was the priest of the Metropolis in Chios. He later served as the first priest in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  His mother was Paraskevi Dontas from Kypouries.  Her nephew, Fmr. US Ambassador Patrick N. Theros, requests in lieu of any gifts or sympathies, donations may be made towards the Koraes Library in Chios, which was beloved by the Condoleon family when they lived in Chios (Chora).
